Time Required: 140-145 minutes
In The Lab, students will:

Explore stations centered around gravity and construct models that represent how gravity affects the behavior of objects in different scenarios. They draw conclusions from lab activities by comparing the initial position of the object to the final position of the object and communicate understanding of gravity’s pull by using arrows to represent gravity in action.

Support an argument that the gravitational force exerted by Earth on objects is directed down. [Clarification Statement: “Down” is a local description of the direction that points toward the center of the spherical Earth.] [Assessment Boundary: Assessment does not include mathematical representation of gravitational force.]
