Lesson 3: Engineer

In The Engineer, students will:

Demonstrate their understanding of the relationship between electricity and magnetism by designing an advocacy campaign that educates homeowners about how electricity and magnetism work to avoid the negative impacts of exposure to magnetism from high current power lines.

STANDARDS:
4-PS3-2: Make observations to provide evidence that energy can be transferred from place to place by sound, light, heat, and electric currents.
MS-PS2-3: Ask questions about data to determine the factors that affect the strength of electric and magnetic forces.

Time Required: 150 minutes
